The scenery is breathtaking but rarely seen in tourist promotions. The leeward side of O'ahu has a poor reputation of not being exactly "tourist friendly." Travel up to the northern most beaches of Makaha and Makua and you will find vast amounts of white-sand beaches with very few people there. Unspoiled and unpopulated, these beaches are stunning.
Traveling west from Makakil, the H1 FWY ends and joins the Farrington HWY. As it curves north you exit to the Ko'Olina area. Stunning pathways along the rock walls lined with palms, crashing waves against the lagoons await . Hidden beaches await! This should definitely be a BUCKET LIST destination.View more
